Overview
This 28-day tour involves many classic sites in Peru, including Cusco, the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, Pisac, Macchu Picchu, Puno, Lake Titicaca and Arequipa. This package is filled with cultural experiences as you explore a multitude of Pre-Inkan and Inkan sites, museums, cathedrals and indigenous villages. One major highlight of this tour is the Classic Inka Trail trek to the ancient city of Machu Picchu. In addition, the private boat tour on Lake Titicaca provides for a unique adventure to various islands. Finally, a visit to the beautiful city of Arequipa and hike through the Colca Canyon wraps-up this amazing tour as your return to your home country filled with exhilarating experiences and momentous encounters with Peruvian culture and history.

Home to Lima
Day 2
Lima to Cusco and travel by private van to Ollantaytambo city built on Inka ruins. Overnight in Hotel El Sol in Ollantaytambo.
Day 3
Hike to Ruins, agricultural storage buildings. Overnight in Hotel El Sol in Ollantaytambo.
Day 4
Hike to Inka bridge, Cachicata Inka quarries and picnic. Overnight in Hotel El Sol in Ollantaytambo.
Day 5
Visit Moras, Moray, ancient agricultural experimental area and Salineras salt mines. Lunch includes traditional Peruvian food buffet at Tanupa. Visit ceramic workshop of Pablo Seminario and return by private van to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco Hotel.
Day 6
Cusco city tour and Sacsayhuaman Inka ruins. Overnight in Cusco Hotel.
Day 7
Cusco – Inka ruins of Quenco, Tambomachay, Pukapukara, lunch and possibly ceremony with shaman. Overnight in Cusco Hotel.
Day 8
Animal sanctuary, camelid zoo, Pisac Inka ruins, the market and the town; lunch at Ulrike’s restaurant. Overnight in Cusco Hotel.
Day 9
Tipon Inka watercourse site, visit Oropesa town where much of the area bread is made. Classic Inka trail Trek briefing. Overnight in Cusco Hotel.
Day 10
Visit to weaver family home in Chinchero, learn about the process from the wool of the alpaca or sheep to the finished product including the natural dyes, eat traditional Peruvian meal, visit ruins at Chinchero. Overnight in Cusco Hotel.

Camino Inka Day 1: drive to km 82 where we start our classic Inka trail hike

Camino Inka Day 4 arrive at Sungate and enter Machu Picchu. Overnight in Aguas Calientes Hotel.
Day 15
Machu Picchu morning tour and climb of Huayna Picchu, visit Moon Shrine. Overnight in Aguas Calientes Hotel.
Day 16
Train to Ollanta and private van back to Cusco. Free afternoon in Cusco, last day there. Overnight in Cusco Hotel.
Day 17
Tourist bus to Puno: visit colonial church at Andahuaylillas, and many ruins including Inka ruins of Raqchi Pre-Inkan ruins at Pukara and lunch in Sicuani. Overnight at Hotel Camino Real in Puno.
Day 18
Private boat tour on Lake Titicaca and visit to Uros island and Amantani Island. Hiking. Overnight at homestay on Amantani Island.
Day 19
Continuation of private boat tour from Amantani to Taquile Island. Visit Pre-Inkan ruins. Overnight at Hotel Camino Real in Puno.
Day 20
Puno city tour. Cathedral, Dreyer Museum. Kuntor hike. Overnight at Hotel Camino Real in Puno.
Day 21
Sillustani ruins, Hike to Ichu and visit to Chucuito Inka and Pre-Inkan ruins. Totora museum. Overnight at Hotel Camino Real in Puno.
Day 22
Free day in Puno and evening bus to Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa Hotel.
Day 23
See Juanita, the Ice Maiden brought frozen from high on Ampato, and the Santa Catalina convent. Visit the central plaza. Overnight in Arequipa Hotel.
Day 24
Van to Chivay including viewing wild animal preserves on the way. Optional visit to Hot springs. Overnight close to Chivay.
Day 25
Colca Canyon Tour, towns and churches, Condor viewing, hike into canyon. Overnight at Oasis.
Day 26
Hike out of the canyon, breakfast at Cabanaconde, more vewing of towns and churches along the canyon. Drive back to Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa Hotel.
Day 27
Airport transportation for flights from Arequipa to Lima
Day 28
Lima to Home.
